Wolf Plaques by NatsumeWolf Wolf Plaques by NatsumeWolf
These are my wolf plaques. Well .. test wolf plaques. They will be fore sale soon... just not these. These were my test subjects. But I have a question... Should I paint the wood white like I did.. or leave it its wood color and then mount the image on it?

I painted the wolf digitally same with the background.

Paint the wood white, plain white makes it all scratchy.

OK, just maybe paint them another color if you want a prettier background. Just a suggestion.

To be honest i think you should so it on the picture. This one you have in the test, should of been left as wood because of the color of the wolf and the tones of the background. Then you have to look at the shade of wood you use. Its all up to the Photo/painting you use on the color of the wood plague.
You did a Great job for a Test out there Nat Nice Beautiful Job

u should do a test one of leaving the wood natural, but if ur selling them, u should give the buyer a choice of the wood color C:

I think, for a wolf, it would be better if the wood was left natural. But then again, Idon't know how'd it look so. Very awesome though

Leave the wood unpainted. Though the white does give a nice pop to the brighter colors in the work, the wood will look a lot more natural and cleaner in a way.

I like the idea of it being normal wood without the white paint, personally.

I vote wood look. It would fit better and give it a nice atmosphere. But that's just me.

I would leave the wood it's natural color to give it a more....eh, I dunno, earthly feel? I mean wolves are wild animals and all, so a prim and proper white-painted border doesn't look as fitting. Although that is just my opinion, it still looks good either way. :) Good job on these!

I think if you stain the wood with a stain that will match the reddish brown on the muzzle or a dark cherry would work well.

Ideally, wood with a dark stain would look awesome, but, since I have no idea how well the image would mount on the wood if it was stained, I'd say leave the wood natural. For wolf plagues, it would really look best in a more natural way.

I like more natural colored things, especially wood, but I think it depends on the look you're going for. The white probably looks more polished, but my personal opinion, would be to leave its natural finish.

I'd say leave the wood it's natural color. It'll give it a more...natural appearance, and in the end would look just a bit better. More elegant. The white looks good, don't get me wrong, just I think like it's painted on a mirror. Regardless, absolutely stunning.

They look amazing. I think they look better white but sometimes, the painting could look cool on just wood. But this look amazing on white wood like you did.
